Nathaniel’s Bio

Nathaniel Miller has been playing water polo for 18 years with 14 years of this being with the National program. He has won three bronze medals at the Pan Am games, placed 1st at the Commonwealth Championships in 2002 and 2nd place in 2005. Additionally, this native of Kirkland, Quebec placed 11th at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and strives to win a medal while representing Canada in the future. Nathaniel believes it is important to challenge oneself in order to be a better athlete and a better person.

Athletic Goals

Podium at the Olympic Games and to win the Euroligue (professional European Championship).

Favourite Olympic/ Sporting Moment

Winning the 1/4 finals at the 2008 Olympic Qualification tournament (and thus earning a spot in the Beijing Summer games), against Romania in Romania, in front of a hostile crowd, despite being heavy underdogs.

Best Advice You’ve Ever Received

That we are capable of more than we could ever imagine, but you have to "want it" bad enough.

Being an RBC Athlete means…

I see being an RBC Olympian as an opportunity for me to share some of the valuable lessons and experiences I've accumulated during my career as an elite athlete.
